A leading commercial employer in the Portadown area are recruiting for a Payroll Professional on what is initially a 12-18 month contract.

With a mixture of remote and office based working, the employer has taken the necessary steps to comply with COVID-19 regulations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all staff.

All measures surrounding Social Distancing and the regular disinfecting of the office are practices already implemented in the premises. At present, the payroll team are working remotely with a view to returning on the basis that the offices will be filled at ‘half capacity’, when it is safe to do so.


About the Role:
- As a key member of the payroll team, you will support the Payroll Supervisor with the RoI payroll process, calculating and inputting all payroll details relating to SSP, SMP, SPP, shift allowances, tax codes, and all changes in salary, bank detail, tax credits, and student loans.
- The role will be responsible for timely payment of monthly wages into employee bank accounts and the distribution of payslips, accurately calculating bonuses and overtime when necessary.
- Within the role, you will also take ownership of all other elements of payroll administration, including the maintenance of the TMS system, processing all new starts and leavers, managing queries and requests from 3rd parties, entering all absence data on to the database, and assisting HR and Finance.


About You:
You will have gained a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the end-to-end payroll processing of RoI employees, as well as ideally UK employees. Applicants will also be IT proficient in the basic functions of MS Excel, and have a sound understanding of cloud based payroll software as well as the relevant payroll legislation in the jurisdictions.
It is essential that applicants have gained strong communication skills to liaise with employees and external bodies.
