Reed Accountancy Reading are supporting our Central Reading based client to join their thriving team on a full time 12 month contract.
Working as the Payroll Manager, supporting a team of 5, my client is seeking an experienced manager with prior experience of running and developing teams, working on weekly payroll with a strong eye for detail as well as a solid knowledge and understanding of governance and control.
Duties for this role will include:
• Overall responsibility for the management and operational control of payroll; paying in excess of 4000 weekly paid workers.
• Ensure all expenditure processed is in accordance with client policies, Standing Financial Instructions and Inland Revenue statutory legislation.
• Review/redesign services where appropriate to deliver high quality payroll services
• Deliver objective setting and performance review for staff, identifying training and development needs appropriate to the delivery of corporate and Department objectives.
This role would be best suited to someone who is operationally focused as well as able to lead the team and develop individuals. Knowledge of PAYE, Umbrella and Limited Company payroll would be highly advantageous, alongside experience of working on high volume weekly payroll.
Due to the location of the business there is no onsite parking, however they are located close to public transport links and public car parks.
