Reed Accountancy Basingstoke are working with a prestigious organisation in Alton, Hampshire who are looking to recruit a Payroll Supervisor/Payroll Manager to lead a small team. This role has great flexibility- it can either be full time or part time and would suit someone who is either already in a supervisory position or alternatively someone who would like to make the step up to leading a team. There is the opportunity to work flexible hours and also for remote working.

There will be an element of hands on payroll and responsibility for your own clients, dealing with queries, liaising with clients and billing.
Responsibilities are varied and include:-
-Responsible for the Payroll for more than 200 clients, allocating this work out to your team and managing and motivating your team. You will run reports, plan the workflow as well as setting time and fee budgets for clients.
-Keeping contact with and building rapport with clients/potential clients including meeting them in person in person, discussing fee quotes.
-To have input & having ultimate responsibility for fee quotes and issuing of payroll bills.
-Administering new payroll & pension schemes for new clients.
-Preparing year-end returns and submitting to HMRC.
The ideal candidate will have previous practical hands on payroll experience with strong organisational skills, a professional manner with the ability to maintain effective relationships with clients. You might come from from a practice background or a payroll bureau or have experience looking after payrolls for numerous departments.
