My client a large organisation in Dover are  looking for an expirienced payroller to join the team.

Purpose of Job is to assist the Financial Controller in administrative and accountancy tasks and processes from the Dover based business unit.

Principle Duties

- Have shared responsibility for all commercial issues within the Dover operation of the Company. Primary objectives to include increased sales, improved margins and increased operational productivity.
- To be forthcoming to Company Directors with any/all opportunities or ideas relating to either increased sales/new custom/increased profitability or the reduction in commercial operating cost.
- To assist other office employees in responding to incoming telephone call and dealing with customer and other enquires.
- Responsible for the employee monthly payroll.
- Responsible for processing weekly payments to labour-only sub-contractors
- Submission of quarterly Intermediary report to HMRC
- Responsible for verifying and reimbursing employee expenses claims..
- Processing of employee credit cards

Qualifications for the position of Payroll Clerk

- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of IT packages including Microsoft Word and Excel, the Internet and Email, and have the ability to adhere to Company administration/documentation procedures as required.
- Good communication skills including spoken and written English.
- High level of numeracy, literacy and mathematical skills, with the ability to comfortably liaise using these particular skills in the presence of clients, Company Directors and employees.
- Minimum of two years experience in an office administration position or similar.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Be prepared to adjust working hours to suit payroll deadlines
