Immediate opportunity - Payroll Assistant (Cookstown)
Reed Accountancy & Finance are working in partnership with a highly reputable & expanding employer in Cookstown, and have an immediate opportunity for a Payroll Assistant to join their team on a contract basis.
Specific duties include but are not limited to;
Management of the timely administration of all aspects of the Payroll function to ensure that all staff are paid correctly and on time (weekly)
Manage the collection of hours worked, absences, holidays
Maintain administration data for long term sick and leavers
Maintain employee details, rates, tax codes, addresses, bank details, pension and other deductions
Maintain records and calculate for SSP, CSP, holiday pay, union returns, and pension returns
Weekly transfers into database to produce statistics for overtime/WTD/Absence
Processing new starts, leavers and employee payroll transfers
Ad hoc administrative duties as required
Minimum 2 years previous experience of weekly payroll processing
Fundamental understanding of payroll theory and relevant legislation
Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel at Moderate to Advanced skill level
