Are you immediately available with payroll experience?

If so, I currently have a fantastic temp to perm payroll position available in Runcorn for someone who is looking to work for a successful global company!

The following duties will be included in the role:

• Payroll processing – taking full ownership and responsibility for all phases of the payroll processing cycle to include tax deposits, quarterly tax returns, master payroll balancing and the required state and federal reporting in an accurate and timely manner. Reconciling the payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports. Processing new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Time and attendance – Execute time sheets and attendance processing, ensuring that these interface with the payroll system. Review and input time sheets manually or through electronic import into payroll software and ensure that the required signatures are obtained.
• Payroll administration – Ensure that Payroll files and records are accurate and up to date. Attend to payroll queries from staff and management and escalate such queries when required. Ensure accuracy of all employee data on relevant systems and ensure information is kept up to date. Process all employee record updates and maintain responsibility for all payroll administration.
• Reporting – Prepare and file various weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Import and export reports from the payroll system for processing. Compile and communicate reports for the Payroll, Finance and HR Management team.
• Company policies and procedures – In conjunction with the Payroll Manager, assist with the evaluation and analysis of existing payroll policies, procedures and business processes. Ensure full compliance with the regulatory standards, policies and procedures of payroll.
• Mentor/coach – Coaching and mentoring employees and first line managers on the payroll rules and gross to net calculations.
• HR Support – to offer general administration support to the wider HR team as and when required.

What do you need to secure this opportunity?

• Strong, up to date and relevant Payroll experience
• Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of regulatory standards and procedures
• A natural competency for systems management and administration
• IT literate, strong IT skills (including MS Excel)
• Analytical in approach, exhibits a keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to establish cooperative working relationships with key stakeholders
• Proven ability to excel under pressure, in a fast paced working environment, ability to take complete ownership and responsibility for the role
• Proactive and innovative, with the ability to work from own initiative and hit the ground running
• Strong team player
• High levels of client focus, professionalism and integrity
• Payroll Professional qualification desirable
