Manage the activities of payroll and pension procedures, implementing any changes.
Act as main point of contact for all payroll and pension enquiries.
Plan and share the payroll annual schedule with appropriate staff.
Ensure that monthly timesheets are reconciled.
Esure that all payroll information is input onto Sage Payroll.
Process and balance month and year end returns in line with financial timescales and legal requirements as well as month and year end RTI returns to HMRC to statutory deadlines.
Maintain a record of periods of employee absences, via Sage Payroll, relating to the calculation of statutory benefits such as SSP, SMP, SPP etc.
Manage and implement the statutory Auto Enrolment process as appropriate.
Liaise with external organisations
Keep up to date on all statutory regulations pertaining to payroll and pensions and where appropriate provide input into interpreting and implementing statutory changes.
Analysing payroll costs and statistics via Excel spread sheets on a monthly basis (and balancing back to Sage Accounting system).
Candidates must be confident within a stand alone role and ideally have some experience of Sage systems.
