What will the role involve?
As the HR and Payroll Officer you will take ownership of the Payroll function which is end to end and does have its complexities, as multiple Payroll’s are run throughout the month for a host of different business entities under a shared collective. Within Payroll you will look after joiners, leavers, paternity and maternity along with completing and issuing all the relevant paperwork required. On top of owning the Payroll you will be the go to for all Benefits and pensions queries, making sure all the benefits information is updated on the company intranet, coordinating things like childcare vouchers and other schemes, whilst supporting the HR Manager where required.
What skills will you have?
You will have similar experience having worked both within Payroll as well as the HR function and be comfortable carrying out multiple and sometimes complex Payroll’s, ideally for a large number of employees either within a regulated organisation or a very complex one – an added bonus would be to have used Cascade too. On top of the skills required you will be highly numerate, possess excellent attention to detail and able to follow procedures down to the fine print, a resilient problem solver, be adaptable, flexible and willing with regards to the changing needs of the business and the systems used. You will be a positive and enthusiastic individual with a high degree of confidentiality and ownership of responsibilities.
