As part of a Payroll Team, you will be responsible for the preparation and processing of a large number of employees, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at all times, whilst staying in line with UK legislation and company policy.
Main responsibilities will include:
Supporting employees on core payroll processes, including SMP, SPL, Auto Enrolment and RTI submissions
Managing key monthly and annual payroll reporting, including returns to HMRC, pensions reconciliation and out of cycle payments
Accurately and confidentially completing payroll administration
Preparing and maintaining data on payroll records and databases via integration from HRIS to data collection and input, ensuring all staff are paid accurately and on time
Responsible for administration surrounding new starters, leavers, sickness, statutory absence, promotions, increases, overtime, casuals, rehires and pensions along with other relevant processes
Answering all manner of queries regarding payroll matters
Reconciling pension payroll ensuring all pensioners are paid on time and accurately
Meeting with new starters at induction, advising on statutory requirements
Candidates will ideally have previous payroll experience, within a large international organisation, with a strong technical knowledge surrounding UK payroll legislation, in areas such as Maternity, Paternity Leave, Auto Enrolment and RTI. A working knowledge of HMRC, DWP and legislation.
Candidates will have first class accuracy, attention to detail and proven clear communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
If candidates have a recognised Payroll qualification or are studying towards a qualification, this will be a distinct advantage.
