Job title: Payroll Assistant
Hours of work: 36 hours per week- flexible working
Salary: Up to £17.5k

REED Accountancy
are working with a business based in Oldbury with a view to recruit a payroll assistant on a permanent basis to join their payroll team

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Proactively solve any payroll queries relating to SSP, SMP, etc
* Provide first line support for payroll services via telephone and email
* Carry out tasks relating to payroll cycle including starters and leavers, pay uplifts, contract variations etc
* Collate payroll information and run reports
* Troubleshooting for the payroll system
* Payroll admin duties as and when required
* Issue payslips and P45s

 

Personal Specification:

* Preferably degree educated of at least a 2:1 in Accounting & Finance or similar
* Have work experience within a busy office environment
* Experience in the use of iTrent is desirable but not essential
* High level of communication skills
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and cope well under pressure
* Be proactive and take responsibility of own work load
* Good eye for detail
