Calling PAYROLL Administrators!

Currently needing an experienced Payroll Administrator for a period of circa two months for a fast-paced and challenging role in a dynamic and busy department.

Your role is to maintain and process accurate payroll information for the organisation, ensuring confidentiality at all times and being the first point of contact for all Payroll queries:

- To be the first point of contact for all payroll queries, including those made via the Payroll inbox
- To maintain and process monthly payroll records for all staff, including reconciling on-line claim forms and processing paper based forms as appropriate
- To update staff bank and tax details
- To accurately process all statutory deductions and process and manually calculate occupational/statutory maternity, sickness and paternity payments
- To complete and authorise staff earnings enquiry forms from appropriate outside agencies
- To check the monthly variance report for significant gross pay changes and investigate differences
- To assist in the design, implementation, evaluation, monitoring and review of processes, procedures and systems in relation to other departmental needs and objectives
- To keep up to date with developments in payroll legislation and ensure services are delivered in accordance with legislation and best professional practice
- To ensure the monthly payrolls are run in the absence of the Payroll Manager
- To undertake payroll briefings
- To assist the Pensions Officer in the completion of pension forms when required
- To undertake the payroll filing in a methodical and timely manner

This is a temporary role at 37 hours a week.
