My client is a is a leading water supply company in England and Wales - forward thinking, innovative and highly regarded for efficiency and customer service.

They are currently seeking to recruit a part time Procurement Specialist to deliver on two key contracts. Namely Facilities Management and Waste and Recycling.

The hours are 9 month FTC , Part-Time, 20 Hours a week, with a FTE salary of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum  

As well as several other service and commodity frameworks, review and refine procurement strategies including the approach to supplier assurance and risk management and to assist in the preparation of ongoing commercial procurement strategy.

You will be responsible for the tendering process from cradle to grave, in accordance with the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) and The Utilities Contracts Regulations where relevant, subsequent supplier negotiations and contract award.

Working with the internal stakeholders you’ll help to ensure that the procurement strategy and specifications meet the business requirements.

You will also review / refine approach to supplier assurance and risk management and work on both direct and indirect spend categories across a number of areas such as fleet purchasing, legal services and maintenance non-infrastructure assets. It will be an advantage for you to have knowledge of "best in class" and in it’s application.

Ideally you will be educated to Degree/HND level (or equivalent) and will be a full Member of CIPS, or working towards the qualification.

You’ll have significant purchasing experience, commercially/ technically including procurement of facilities management contract and you’ll have outstanding analytical and decision-making skills.

You are IT literate, with experience of using Word and Excel and familiar with ERP systems.

As well as excellent negotiation skills, you also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ideally you will have experience of public/ utilities EU procurement procedures and experience of building, maintaining and managing internal stakeholder relationships.

It would be advantageous to have experience of procuring using NEC3 (or similar), facilities management contracts.
