I'm working with a well established firm who provide a variety of services to multiple businesses throughout Teesside.

In this job you'd be working closely with the Tax Manager, he's a friendly hard working and supportive manager.
The interview process will be 2 stages but fairly informal, they just want to get to know you and let you get a feel for them. The business are keen to bring the right person in long term, historically past employees within this post have used it as a step to progress further within Accounts or with careers.

This job would be suited to you if you like to be kept busy, want to identify and implement ideas of ways to improve, you want to learn and develop your skills and long term stability with an element of flexibility in regards to hours which can be suited to you.

Ideally they'd like 20 - 25 hours a week over 5 days, 4 days at least.

The full time salary is £19240, around £10 per hour.

You'll either have experience within Payroll and Tax or experience and knowledge of working in Accounts with the desire to learn and manage Payroll and Tax queries.

Training and support will be given to ensure you can pick the work load up and manage this should you not have a strong understanding and ability with start - finish processing and tax both corporation and personal returns.

Capital gains and other areas of development would be provided to help you to up skill and continue to learn.

20 - 30 clients, some mixed pay elements, annual salaries and some of which also have RTI and calculations done.

Some clients have big bonus schemes, and calculations can be required so either knowledge or ability / desire to manage this is essential.

Few smaller monthly jobs would also be required giving you a good variety.

Training will also be given on Iris Payroll and Open Space system, however confidence and ability using MS Excel is advantageous.

You'll be methodical and organised, ideally from an Accounts background.

You'll really want to take the role on and make it your own, with the desire to have stability and continuity with an employer long term.
