Reed HR are delighted to assist our high profile client who requires a permanent Part time HR Adviser to join their busy team. Hours of work 22.5 hours weekly with flexibility to negotiate days and hours

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide guidance and support managers on the application of all HR policies and procedures and employment legislation
• Lead on employee relations issues including investigations, disciplinary and grievance issues
• Support managers during the recruitment process, where necessary assisting with advertising, gathering equality data, interviewing, feedback and raising contracts
• Provide advice on the management of both short and long term absence issues and medical referrals where necessary
• Contribute to various in house HR projects
• Lead on the induction process for new starters and to carry out exit interviews for leavers
• Be responsible for equal opportunities monitoring and reporting processes and procedures
• Work closely with the wider team contributing ideas for engagement, diversity and development activities and helping to roll those out within the organisation as appropriate, and to drive local application of company-wide and Commercial initiatives and projects
• Input, update and process personnel data and provide management reports as required, in line with legal and best practice requirements
• Work with managers to address succession planning and training needs, and help to facilitate internal secondments
• Keep up to date with developments in Human Resources, with particular emphasis on changes in employment legislation, case law and best practice
• Support performance management and capability processes
• Flexibility is required, undertaking additional hours to deal with urgent issues
• Any other duties identified by the Head of HR that reasonably fall within the scope and range of the position

Essential Criteria:
Membership of CIPD
Minimum of 4 years recent relevant experience in a HR Advisor role
Proven experience of advising line managers in the full range of HR procedures including recruitment, selection, grievance, disciplinary, attendance management, employee relations and performance management.
Proven experience of contributing to HR projects
Proven experience of developing effective working relationships with managers and staff
Good knowledge of Northern Ireland’s employment law

• Self-motivated and organised
• Strong, confident and diplomatic communication and networking skills
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Fully conversant with Microsoft office including Excel
• Good decision making, prioritising and problem solving skills
• Positive approach with the ability to manage a changeable workload during busy periods
