REED Business Support is working together with a local and reputable organisation to recruit a Customer Service Advisor on a part time basis until November 2017. This role will be 21 hours per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10am- 5pm.
Based in the heart of Taunton you will be the first point of contact for visitors and residents of Somerset, primarily over the telephone, but also through other channels such as face to face, e-mail, SMS text, fax and white mail. These contacts will relate to a number of services, including highways and transport, library services and housing and planning. Your role will be to assess the needs of the caller and provide information relating to the query, as well as handling escalated queries and lower-level complex consultations.
In addition, there will be elements of data entry and feedback processing as well as liaising with service experts to ensure the delivery of correct information and build a trustworthy relationship with customers.
Previous call-handling experience would be beneficial but not essential - all you need is a positive outlook and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
