Our client is a very successful and innovative tech start-up operating in the renewable energy sector.  They are currently looking to recruit a bright and ambitious Accounts Assistant to work alongside their Financial Controller on a part time basis, initially for 2 days per week with a view to increasing the hours as the company continues to grow.

The part-time Accounts Assistant will be a key part of the head office team, with responsiblity for the following key areas:

- Logging of all purchases in the ledger and storage of all invoices/ receipts electronically
- Monthly reconciliation of all expenditure with the bank statement and credit card statements
- Monthly processing of expense claims from directors and staff (covering corporate credit card and "cash" expenses) according to expenses process
- Reconciliation of supplier statements and dealing with any queries with suppliers and internal team
- Very small volume of customer account queries and credit control

As part-time Accounts Assistant you will work closely alongside a qualified Financial Controller.

• Familiar with Microsoft Outlook email and calendar
• General computer and internet literacy
• Double entry/ trial balance bookkeeping experience
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel
• Dealing with small supplier transactions, including management of any invoice disputes
• Experience working on Xero accounting package desirable

• Organised, self-motivating
• High standard of written and verbal English
• Numerate
• Good communicator with good telephone manner
• Can work accurately and efficiently
• Excellent attention to detail
• Flexible, can work independently or in a team
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications
