My client is a highly successful Chartered firm based in Nottingham. They now have an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner to join their prestigious business.

You will be working within the Paraplanning Team to provide a high level service to high net worth clients by taking responsibility for the client file.

MAIN DUTIES

Prepare & maintain client files

  • You will review client portfolios
  • You will discuss client objectives with the Financial Planner
  • You will identify and obtain the information necessary to compile financial cashflow forecast
  • You will compile draft net worth statements and discuss with Planner

Prepare recommendations

  • Identify suitable solutions to meet the clients' needs
  • You will prepare comparisons for analysis by Planner 
  • You will liaise with clients' legal and tax advisers when necessary
  • You will consider investment strategy with regard to client risk profile
  • You will prepare draft financial planning reports to be signed off by Planner

Implement recommendations

  • You will prepare suitability reports in accordance with agreed recommendations
  • You will complete application forms
  • You will make changes to clients' investments as instructed
  • You will implement the chosen investment strategies

Review

  • You will act as the point of contact for clients
  • You will deal with technical queries from clients
  • You will build strong relationships with clients and attend client meetings when required
  • You will organise client meetings
  • You will review investment portfolios, asset allocation, and risk profiles
  • You will implement changes following reviews

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Must have previously worked within an IFA
  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or progression towards
  • Must have suitability report writing experience
  • Initiative and self-starter
  • Organised
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Articulate
  • Analytical
  • Numerical
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
  • IT literate
  • Dynamic worker, both individually and within a team
