Organisational Development Specialist required on an Interim basis to start immediately until the end of March 2021 to work for a leading public sector organisation based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This role is working full time hours 37 hours per week on a flexi-time basis.

In this role you will contribute to the design and delivery of people and organisational development products and, thereafter, the management of the change process to embed new OD products and processes across the organisation. In support of their strategic and operational plans, provide specialist support to the People Directorate Strategic Framework project.

Lead by example and behave in line with their company ethics ensuring that their values and behavioural expectations are clearly understood and considered by managers and staff in their decision making and actions; reinforcing and influencing them through all interactions and processes.

To research, design and deliver OD and change management processes and interventions that support their ambition to be a high performing organisation; to include “People Product” initiatives which foster a learning culture, continuous improvement and development.

Work closely with senior stakeholders to make recommendations about the best fit solution in terms of People Product initiatives, subsequently contributing to the design of pioneering solutions that support their People Directorate Strategic Framework and underpinning Strategies.

To support specific performance improvement initiatives.

Ensure work streams are integrated with developments within Workforce Planning, Strategic Resourcing, Employee Relations, Learning & Organisational Development and Talent Management to provide integrated and holistic OD and people improvement products.

To identify opportunities for performance improvement through undertaking internal diagnosis, process/system reviews and other appropriate methodologies in order to understand barriers and possible solutions; conducting external research into good practice and new ideas.

Design and develop OD policies and procedures in line with their strategy, advising and influencing stakeholders to drive improvement in practices.

To design and facilitate in-house events (e.g. workshops, briefings) as required.

To work with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and consultation processes are in place.
