Reed are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager role for a professional services company who will head up the administrative team which supports the Consultants. The overall aim is to ensure the smooth running of all operations for the UK team, making sure the consultants can do their jobs well. Your main responsibilities will be the guiding and support of this team.
General reporting – for example reporting of consultants’ utilisation, job information, logging and disseminating of holidays, supporting the monthly ops process and reporting, keeping all systems updated, managing sales updates, contracts, etc.
This will be done using Excel and Word, so excellent knowledge of this is needed. You will be creating graphs in Excel and will know how to create indexes and contents pages in Word, for example.
IT related projects – ensuring the consultants have no issues with IT – chasing their IT support teams where needed, helping people with passwords reset etc and log ins.
Researching hardware when due for replacements - for eg, researching laptop replacements and dealing with suppliers.
Constantly looking at what needs doing in terms of the office (electrics, audio visual equipment, dealing with the landlord, office moves within the current office, coffee machine, air conditioning – whatever is required).
Helping to coordinate the Assessment Centres when new candidates are being interviewed.
Proactively alerting management when such things as insurances are up for renewal, ordering supplies, subscriptions.
New joiner inductions
Maintaining the Company Handbook and policites
Managing Ad hoc projects such as moving email providers.
Contact for the office Alarm, being the Fire Marshall and the First Aider.
Guidance with events such as the Summer event and the Christmas party.
