I am really excited to be recruiting for an Operations Manager for one of my clients who are based in the Colchester area. This role would be best suited to someone with previous experience working within the food manufacturing industry

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:-
• Manage day to day running of the business including manufacturing, warehouse, administration team, purchasing, sales, customer care and quality control
• Ensure that all Health & Safety legislation is complied with at all times, and enforce where necessary
• To comply with and implement companies policies
• To be responsible for the security of the buildings, plant and machinery and respond to any out of hour emergencies
• To take positive steps to work towards improving company processes and systems, negotiate with suppliers and identify new customers
• To be proactive in marketing the business with the aim of maximising company profits
• Communicate with customers, suppliers and other external organisations at all levels
• Attain optimum performance in service delivery
• The desire to develop yourself and the team is imperative within this role
• Supervise the office staff and Production Supervisor, addressing any minor human resource and performance issues
• To provide quarterly statistical reports to the Company Directors on budgets, production, sales, customer profiles and future business development plans.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Will comply with legislative requirements of health, safety and welfare ensuring good practice standards at all times
• Will ensure proper adherence to all of the policies and procedures
• Will take all possible, reasonable steps to create a harmonious working environment using consultation, effective communication and team working techniques
• Will maintain confidentiality at all times
• Will have previous experience working within the food industry or similar
• Will Have the experience of conducting regular reviews and staff appraisals
• Will have an excellent work ethic
• Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft packages
