An exciting opportunity to join a successful firm located in York City Centre. If you enjoy using your varied administrative skillset and supporting a busy office this is the role for you.

You will be an experienced administrator who would thrive whilst working in a small, busy office based in York city centre, providing support to a team of Planning Consultants. This is a fast paced and varied position, where no two days are the same.
The successful candidate will work within the administration team who are the first point of contact for customer enquiries, so you will need to be able to communicate effectively in a friendly and confident manner. This is a busy role where the candidate will need to demonstrate they can prioritise their workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

A large part of this position will be proof reading, therefore, a good level of written English and high attention to detail are required

Your role will include:

• Handling enquires and logging them on to the system to be actioned by the consultants
• Producing quotations for the consultants
• Proof Reading Documents
• Reception duties
• Answering the telephone
• Preparation of planning applications
• Accounts duties such as raising invoices, filing and credit control
• Processing internal & external mail
• Recording sickness and holiday on to the system
• Coordinating travel booking and accommodation for the planning consultants
• Minuting some meetings – taking key action points
• PA tasks for director as required
• Completing research projects

Qualifications/ Training/ Skills:

Strong administration background
Good attention to detail
Ability to prioritise workload
Good telephone manner
Minimum of 5 GCSE – must include English
