A new opportunity has arisen within a well-established, Guildford-based logistics company for those seeking an HR/Office Manager Role. The position in this small to medium sized organisation is a varied and busy one that offers a balance of HR and Office Manager duties. Offering a salary of £35,000 - though there may be room for negotiation depending on experience - this role will suit any candidates with an SME background and experience in the catering/hospitality/retail/logistics or distribution industry.

You will be managing the day-to-day operations of the HR function, overseeing the administration of HR policies, procedures and programs. You will also be responsible for maintaining office services by organising operations and procedures, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems and reviewing and approving supply requisitions.

Main duties:
- Covering ER, you will advise on best practice and employment law, managing all case work and acting as the HR contact for all employees
- You will on board and induct new starters, completing leavers documentation also managing all exit interviews
- You will manage employee reviews, and identify any training requirements
- First point of contact for HR-related queries from employees ensuring all queries are seen through to resolution.
- You will maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement
- You will coach, counsel and discipline employees if necessary; planning, monitoring and appraising job results
- You will complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
- You will provide continual customer liaison often managing relationships from initial contact through to job completion. You will offer complaint resolution where appropriate.

- Generalist HR background
- Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice in HR
- Articulate in both written and verbal communication
- Strong office and customer service experience
- Must be able to demonstrate a professional and discreet manner
