Reed Bradford Business Support are currently recruiting on behalf of an established Distributor based in Bradford. Due to continued growth my client is looking to add an Office Assistant to their friendly team.

As a Office Assistant your daily duties will include: 

  • Raising and progressing Purchase Orders in line with company policies and procedures
  • Opening new account for clients
  • Chasing any unpaid invoices and managing any discrepancies
  • Accurately processing paperwork in line with delivery notes 
  • Cross checking all deliveries to ensure all stock is accurate 
  • Booking deliveries onto the in house system 
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure they meet company compliance requirements  
  • Daily use of Excel to ensure all deliveries are booked in for the day to relevant clients 
  • Professionally deal with any discrepancies or queries 
  • Respond to customers queries via phone and email efficiently
  • Providing administration support to staff within the Warehouse 
  • Creating and manipulating data from reports  
  • Managing administration for goods in and out

The successful candidate will: 

  • Able to update Excel spreadsheets in line with company standards 
  • Have a good understanding on Delivery process and manifests 
  • Have the ability to work well in a team and independently 
  • Able to work systematically to ensure all work is completed in-line with company policies and procedures 
  • Ability to work well under pressure 
  • Have a sound understanding of raising and processing Purchase Order numbers 
  • Ability to adapt to change  
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Have strong organisational skills and be able to prioritise workload 
  • Be a confident user of MS Office packages
