My client is looking for an Engineering Sales Account Manager to join the company’s existing team dealing directly the companies OEM clients as well as promoting the business to end users. This is a senior post in the UK team.
Based in Bedfordshire and reporting to the Director of European Sales It will be your responsibility to liaise with the company's OEM customers and end users who work within the commercial vehicle sector to ensure that the company's products meet the challenges set out by the end user clients.
Your role will be split between office based responsibilities and travel to OEM sites throughout the UK as well as occasional travel to the European headquarters. The role is primarily a sales and technical liason post which will mean working closely with the engineering and procurement teams as well as senior managers to ensure that the client gets the right product on time and to the right specifications. It will be your responsibility to identify opportunities and manage ongoing partnerships throughout the lifecycle of the project which can be over many years.

To be considered you will need to demonstrate:
• An education in an automotive or mechanical engineering discipline to HND or ideally degree level
• A background in engineering systems to be used in either commercial or passenger vehicles for an OEM or possibly an aftermarket manufacturer
• Excellent customer facing skills to senior level clients
• Flexible attitude with regards to domestic and occasionally international travel which will include occasional nights away from home
• Full drivers licence with no more than three penalty points.
