English Teacher Required (Suitable For NQTs)

Are you a Talented English Teacher who is creative and motivated?
We are working with schools who are seeking to appoint a talented and engaging Teachers to join their English Department in Northamptonshire. This post is suitable for an enthusiastic teacher looking for a new opportunity to develop their skills and experience, looking to work in a new Environment.

This is a Full Time, Permanent Role and it is paid to scale.

What you will need:

• A Maths specialism
• QTS/QTLS

Would you like to work in friendly and supportive team with great facilities?
You will have sound practical and theoretical knowledge of KS3, KS4 and KS5 English curriculum, and the ability to adapt to various exam board criteria. To have experience of delivering to mixed ability KS3, KS4 and KS5 groups.

Duties Include:

To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies and teaching strategies in the Curriculum Area and Department.

To plan and prepare courses and lessons.

To contribute to the whole school’s planning activities.

To work with the Excellence Co-ordinator and Director of Studies/Head of Department to match work well to students’ needs
on Strategy, etc.

To promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and of the tutor group as a whole.

To register students, accompany them to assemblies, encourage their full attendance at all lessons and their participation in other aspects of Academy life.

To evaluate and monitor the progress of students and keep up-to-date student records as may be required.

To alert the appropriate staff to problems experienced by students and to make recommendations as to how these may be resolved.

To communicate as appropriate, with the parents of students and with persons or bodies outside the Academy concerned with the welfare of individual students, after consultation with the appropriate staff

To apply the Behaviour Management systems so that effective learning can take place.

To undertake assessment of students as requested by external examination bodies, departmental and Academy procedures.
