My very well established client is looking for a National Production Manager who will successfully lead the teams and manage multiple manufacturing sites and operations across the UK .

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Setting and monitoring KPIs for all production sites, including reacting to variances in targets for safety, quality and cost
• Ensure Production Managers have the resources to effectively manage production and production teams on a daily basis
• Equip Production Managers with the skills and tools required to undertake their roles, and for future development needs, as well as identifying and developing continual career development for team members
• Identify new technologies and working practices, with a commercial focus to provide a superior offering to customers
• Continuous improvement activities with a medium to longer term view of production
• Identify areas of improvement in relation to people, processes and planning, leading the improvement projects, ensuring resources ae engaged, capable, and that projects are delivered on time, in full and on budget
• Refine Manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and adopt a lean approach to production, ensuring all resources are aligned to delivering requirements in the most cost effective and efficient manner
• Create and deliver proposals to the Director for new equipment and production methods
• To ensure safe working practices are maintained across all production operations
• Be an influential and inspiring leader with a good understanding and experience of HR processes and wider compliance
• Maintain professional environment, and create and maintain a culture of equality and fairness
• Regular visits to production sites as required, to work closely with Production Managers

• Effective workload management, including effective time utilisation, prioritisation and delegation, with a focus on team building, coaching and skills development
• Problem solving
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Ability to build rapport with the wider business with a focus on stakeholder management

• Warehouse/ Production management experience
• People management, with the ability to inspire, implement and drive change; whilst maintaining, and improving employee engagement
• Proven experience of delivering sustained productivity, and cost improvements
• Compliance
