National Account Manager

I’m currently working with a fantastic business who manufacture and supply products for the health and beauty industry such as; Bath, Body, Nail Care and Skin Care. They have been established for almost 35 years and deal with some of the most prestigious brands in the industry.

As part of their continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced National Account Manager to develop key accounts such as ASDA, Boots, Morrisons, Waitrose, Ocado, Amazon and pharmacy wholesalers. The role will be to develop some of their largest big branded accounts as well as opening doors and attracting new business to the portfolio.
The role will be a 60:40 split of account management and new business development.

Key Responsibilities:
 - Taking responsibility for your account portfolio, ensuring that company profitability, customer requirements and growth targets are met.
- Develop and maintain customer account plan to maximise profitability
- Researching organisations and individuals to identify new leads and potential new markets
- Identifying growth opportunities in key accounts allocated
- Meeting and exceeding new business and account growth targets
- Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
- Attending meetings nationally to build relationships in key accounts
- Introducing a range of beauty products to a relevant customer base
- Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a background in targeting and developing both local and national retailers, regardless of the product or service sold, it would be preferable if you have dealt with the beauty sector. However, more important is that you have the hunger, drive and passion to succeed in this long term and progressive role. The basic salary for the role is circa £40k + an excellent package + bonus.
