My client is a successful IFA practice. The company's main aim is to provide the best and most impartial advice available to it's clientele.

The company are currently looking for a Mortgage Administrator on a Fixed Term Contract basis (a contract of at least 12 months due to upcoming maternity leave, with the possibility of a permanent role after this) to join their established team based within their City of London office.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

- To manage the customer journey from start to finish in a timely and compliant manner, showing understanding and compassion toward the client at all stages of this generally ‘emotional’ investment process.

- Ensure all customer situations are handled appropriately and in line with all procedures.

- Keep up to date in all relevant areas to be able to provide more effective services, seeking and sharing good practice and knowledge to support the continuous improvement of administrative services provided to our mortgage clients.

- Dealing with customer queries in an expert, timely and efficient manner principally by telephone and e-mail contact.

- Take ownership of incoming enquiries from clients and providers, liaising with advisers, mortgage administrators and other departments as appropriate.

- Identify and recommend ongoing opportunities to improve customer service within the department and pass on to the relevant department. In particular to identify any protection requirements.

- Develop and maintain good relationships with providers in order to help the smooth processing of all mortgage business.

- Maintain up to date accurate records of all provider and customer contact, proactively reporting on any necessary action and updating administrators and advisers as needed. Follow up on all actions to ensure they have been completed.

- Monitor the delivery of service, ensuring that all accountabilities are undertaken and measured against agreed service standards.

The working hours within this role are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 17:00pm.


Required Experience

- Mortgage Administration experience, within the independent market preferred but not essential.
- Good general knowledge of life and mortgage related products and legislation.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated software.
- Previous experience of mortgage sourcing software an advantage but not essential, training will be provided.
- Cemap qualification (or equivalent) would be preferred but not essential.

You will receive a competitive basic salary of £26,000, plus benefits including an excellent pension scheme and medical insurance.
