My client, based in the heart of Newcastle, are looking for an experienced IT Service Analyst to join and drive everything ITIL, within their IT Service Control team. This team is a department that sits separate to the central business, and is responsible for the support to the owning group and external clients; meaning the work is very varied and changes weekly. Although based in an IT Team, this role is not technical, you will be relied upon to control a number of key ITIL processes.

This role would suit a technical team manager, or aspiring manager, who is looking for a different challenge in a rewarding organisation.

The below are key personal skills that I am looking for:

Problem solve and complex data sets analysis - rational and factual root cause deduction, failure identification and implementation of appropriate solutions.
Workload management – proactively plan and manage your workload, deliver multiple projects to deadlines and escalate resource conflicts.
Communication and resilience – negotiates conflict between teams, negotiate resolutions between teams and create a sense of stability.
Excellent communication – both written and verbal, an adaptable audience dependant approach, ability to communicate with clarity in technical discussion and the ability to engage all levels.

The below are key technical skills that I am looking for:

- Experience of working in an ITIL aligned environment, qualifications are advantageous
- Knowledge of the financial services industry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application
- Strong data interpretation ability
