My client are a desing company located in South West London who are looking to expand thier Accounts Department. My client are looking for a Merchandising accounts Assistant to processes all the invoices, proformas, payments, and insurances relating to the
merchandising arm of the business. As our projects are located in all corners of the globe,
an understanding of import/export regulations and international VAT legislation is vital to
the success of this role. The high quality, bespoke, nature of the merchandise being dealt
with can lead to unusual, sometimes tense and stressful situations occurring on a regular
basis, requiring a common sense, practical approach to problem solving. Working as part of
an 8 strong finance team, you will report into the Financial Controller and Head of Finance. 

Merchandising:
 Check contract figures on specification system and make sure all amendments and
additions are accounted for
 Ensure all invoices and proformas are coded up with Element numbers
 Enter all merchandising invoices on specification system and SUN accurately
 Pay proforma invoices and match them up with VAT invoices
 Deal with international transfers, maintaining up to date supplier bank details
 Assist Merchandiser with obtaining supplier invoices once the proformas have been
received
 Reconcile proforma accounts to nil at the end of each project
 Process all purchases made for the project and make sure budgets are not exceeded
 Notify Financial Controller if more funds need to be requested from clients
 Produce full project reconciliations and make sure all records are accurate for
submission to Clients
 Opening, reconciling and closing new bank accounts for each project
 Complete EC sales list and Intrastat forms on a quarterly basis
 Maintain accurate register of Sales and VAT thresholds by country, to enable VAT
registration as required.
 Submit quarterly reports to FC to enable quarterly international VAT returns
 Prepare export paperwork for all international deliveries, within handling agent and
recipient countries guidelines.
 Liaise with Insurance broker to ensure all goods have adequate cover at all times,
regardless of location.
 Updating project planners to reflect accurate income per project.

Administration:
 Working alongside the nominated Merchandising Manager, keep an up to date record
of all stock in and out of the company.
 Maintain accurate filing for merchandising purposes
 Fortnightly meetings with FC to update on all Merchandising projects



Skills and Attributes
 Advanced Excel and Word skills
 Knowledge of SUN Accounts would be an advantage
 High level of accuracy and attention to detail
 Excellent organisational skills,
 Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
 Ability to work within all established Winch Design structures and templates
 To be an Ambassador for the company values (Humility, Integrity, Agility)

Qualifications and work experience
 Graduate or equivalent would be desirable
 Previous experience in a similar or related role within the Import/Export industry
 Previous experience working within the luxury goods market

PAY AND BENEFITS
 Competitive salary available depending on level of experience
 Hours 9:30-5:30pm – Monday to Friday
