My client is a major player in Aerospace Engineering.  They manufacture bespoke parts for the biggest aerospace companies in the world.

They are currently looking for a Materials And Master Data Planner.  

It is a key role executing the Demand and Inventory Management processes to ensure material availability. You will also need to create new parts in the SAP system, manage change requests and one off product requirements. 

Demand & Inventory Management duties will be - 

 Prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecasting
models and evaluate forecast results

 Analyse recommended orders in preparation for
commercial contract review

 Produce surplus order reporting for review with contract

 Provide detailed plans for rescheduling purchase orders

 Manage/review obsolete material, reporting monthly data
to Finance.

 Adhoc stock approval requests

Data Management & New Product Introduction duties include - 

 To act as the first point of contact for commercial teams,
for new product requirements, requests for change and for
one-off product requirements

 Receive new / change requirements from commercial

 Maintenance of parts and material masters in SAP,
including all BOMs and Routings

 Work with the SAP team and all departments across the
UK business to improve the Change Management process

 First point of call for all master data related issues for the
UK Aerospace business

 Travel to other UK sites as required

Qualifications, Experience & Skills Essential:  

 Experience in a demand planning function

 Demonstrable proficiency in forecasting methods and
knowledge of demand planning systems

 Analytical and practical problem solving skills.

 Understanding of Bills of Material

 Self-motivated, decisive, commercially aware. Good
communication skills.

 Ability to interact and develop relationships within TKA
and across the business

 Knowledge of Office (Excel in particular) & SAP


 Understanding of quality systems and approvals within
the aerospace or similar industry

 Knowledge of raw materials, including product
specifications etc

 Understanding manufacturing
