My client, a highly successful shipping consultancy business, based in London SE1, is looking to recruit a Marketing & Business Administrator.  They are widely respected for their forecasting and business advisory services to shipping industries across the globe. Clients include banks, shipowners, brokers, investors, insurers, and service providers.

Following a period of rapid growth, they are now looking for a highly motivated, intelligent graduate to join their support staff. 

Salary for this role is £20-25k per annum, depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits. Hours of work are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Duties include:

Maintaining the company's CRM system and taking responsibility for data integrity; Supporting the Key Account Manager with active client engagement; Production of company reports using desktop publishing software; Managing the company’s email system and organising the company calendar; Assisting with identification of potential opportunities and gathering of competitor intelligence; Working on marketing and social media for the organisation's online services and website; Assisting with preparation of marketing materials; liaising with external organisations, e.g. print media

Person specification:

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Competency with Microsoft Office including intermediate Excel skills
Experience using desktop publishing software such as Adobe Indesign
An understanding of social media in a business environment
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to learn quickly and manage their own workload
Previous experience in an administrative or marketing role
Strong degree from a top 30 university in a relevant subject (e.g. Marketing or Business)
