Job responsibilities-

Financial reporting- Annual financial statements, management accounts, budgets and forecasts for the business and it's subsidiaries.

Develop and maintain KPI and management reports including the implementation of appropriate systems and processes as agreed with the Executive Director.

To liaise with all areas in respect of financial accounting matters and audit requirements.

Preparation to deadline of all financial returns required by statutory bodies and external stakeholders.

Month end close down, including the review of control accounts and ledgers

To monitor duties within the Finance team consistent with the achievement of the responsibilities above.

VAT returns 

Manage Fixed Assets Register and ensure accurate accounting (additions, disposals and depreciation) to audit standards.

To produce cash forecasts and reports, delegating operational duties to other members
of the Finance team required for the accurate forecasting of cash flow. To review and
analyse trends and implement improvements to the College’s cash flow.

To work collaboratively across the business, providing any support to budget holders

To establish appropriate internal control and financial reporting systems

Adhoc duties as required










Person specification-

Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA

Detailed knowledge of the financial procedures and budget management 

Ability to lead major change and development

Knowledge of Payroll procedures and the management of these procedures

Experience of Financial planning and reporting 

Advanced Excel skills
