Reed Finance are once again partnering with a successful business on the Essex/Herts border who are recruiting for a new senior finance professional to join the team on a permanent basis.
Reporting into the newly appointed Finance Manager and working closely with operations, projects and finance teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Preparation of Management accounts the group business.
Preparation of Departmental management accounts
Monthly calculation and posting of accruals, prepayments,
Maintain asset register, calculation and posting of depreciation
Liaise with project managers to review departmental performance
Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
Reconciliation of intercompany balances
Review accrued revenue and liaise with relevant department to ensure prompt invoicing
Ensure all applicable projects have revenue and cost budgets and they are applied to Sage Project Accounting
Investigate and resolve budgeted vs. actual profit variances
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns for the group
Preparation of year end schedules for audit purposes
Identify and recommend system or process improvements where possible
This role will suit a fully qualified or qualified by experience professional looking to progress their career within a successful business during an exciting period of change. Advanced Excel, strong organisational skills as well as the ability to manage key relationships will be crucial here.
