Management Accountant - Ely - £28,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE

My client is looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to really make a mark on the company and their future success. 

Job Description:

- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts to include accruals, prepayments, petty cash, and suspense account review and journals

- Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposal and depreciation calculation and journals

- Monthly stock valuation and related review and journals. Working with various colleagues around the business to ensure integrity of stock valuations

- Provide management reports to the FC for distribution throughout the business

- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations

- Quarterly VAT return

- Assist with preparation of daily cash flow daily

- Assist in preparation of audit file and information requests from auditors

- Provide cover for factory payroll and accounts assistant duties

- Ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications and Experience:

- AAT fully qualified or CIMA / ACCA part qualified.

- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. ability to use pivot tables and complex formulae, experience of creating and developing new spreadsheets rather than just maintaining existing sheets)

- Good knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Outlook, Access and also accounting packages and payroll software

- Experience in a similar role is essential

- Manufacturing experience would be desirable but not essential
