Job Title: LoHAC Lighting Supervisor
Location: Picketts Lock Depot
Contract: LoHAC Contract
Reporting to: LoHAC Lighting Manager

Key Purpose: Responsible for Supervision of the lighting installation and maintenance in London Borough of Haringey and Transport for London, co-ordinating teams of both directly employed and supply chain partners. To ensure that operational targets and deadlines are met and that the works and services are implemented in accordance with both contract requirements.

Role Specification

Specific Accountabilities:

• Responsible for safe operational activities of the contracts
• Responsible for the safe running of (allocated) sites and monitor the implementation and control of safe working procedures
• Manage/liaise with supply chain partners as appropriate
• Responsible for liaising with the client regarding planning of works with onsite teams
• Weekly OSHE Site inspections on own staff and supply chain partners
• Depot and site inductions
• Minimising costs and works through correct programming and utilisation of labour, plant, materials and supply chain partners
• Ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with the correct plan and procedures, with risks assessments and method statements
• Organise and present as appropriate operatives tool box talks – at least two per month
• Would be responsible for the safe running of (allocated) sites and monitor the implementation and control of safe working procedures
• Monitor the standard of work of all employees and contractors
• As appropriate, controlling of transport and plant
• Ensure that all registers for plant, lifting equipment and the operator’s licence are correctly kept
• Ensure that all staff/labour are productive
• Ensure that all staff/labour are treated fairly, motivated and well managed
• Responsible for works associated with compliance to company obligations relating to health and safety and environment and quality assurance
• Understand and be able to meet deadlines for submission of reports required
• Assist with development growth of contract
• To ensure safe working practices, as outlined in specific method statements and risk assessment, are adhered to, personally and by others

General Responsibilities:

• Promote a safe working environment
• Ensure data collected is accurate and error free
• Ensure all related service performance indicators and contractual requirements are met
• To follow the RJMS systems processes
• Liaise closely with the network team to prevent FPNs
• To carry out other duties consistent with the above that may be directed or implied from time to time as required commensurate to the post.

Person Specification

Core Competencies (Essential):

• Supervisory Experience
• 5 years electrical and technical site experience
• Understanding of highways sector scheme and HEA requirements
• ASLEC/HERS Registered
• IPAF Qualified

Core Competencies (Desirable):

• Understanding of programming
• Computer literate in Outlook, Word and Excel
• Sufficient electrical and technical knowledge
