Reed Wigan are happy to be working with a large and growing transport company with offices in Pimbo, Skelmersdale are looking to recruit on a long-term temporary (to permanent) basis an experienced Logistics Administrator.

The main aim of the role is to assist the depot manager and goods in supervisor with administration support. There is a large amount of compliance administration to complete relating to transport, vehicles and logistics processes.

The salary will be £20,000 - £23,000 dependant on experience and the hours of work are Monday to Friday 07:00AM – 16:00PM with an hour for lunch.

Duties include:

• Assisting the depot manager with vehicle defects
• Use of the multi-freight system to make sure data is up to date at all times
• Liaising with internal colleagues to make sure all data is accurate and maintained
• Assisting the goods in supervisor with administration
• Accurate checking and receipt of stock into the warehouse
• Use of Internal inventory management software to track logistic processes
• Updating all vehicles files in line with VOSA requirements (PMI’s)
• General filing and administration tasks

Person Specification:

• Ideally experience in a transport/warehouse admin role
• Previous experience in Microsoft Office suite
• General IT product(s) and services knowledge
• Good understanding of operational processes
• SAP knowledge is beneficial
• FLT Reach license is beneficial
