Opportunity to work for a well known, well established company based in Huddersfield who have an urgent requirement for a temporary Logistics Administrator (will go permanent to the right candidate) - immediate start

Main purpose of the role is to organise and control the logistics for incoming stock and outgoing deliveries to customers on a daily basis.

Work in a logistics and accounts team of 3, attention to detail, good customer service and accuracy essential

Order processing

-Processing orders using Sageline 50 to check stock levels, arrange delivery and manage all necessary admin
-Dealing with any sales queries or problems that arise, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
-Liaise with finance to ensure orders invoiced
-All admin and paperwork

Purchase orders and stock

-Liaise with suppliers to manage transport and delivery and develop effective relationships to support the business
-Deal with any queries or problems that arise and escalate to management as needed
-All admin and paperwork

Transport

-Effective communications to check and confirm delivery schedules internally and with customers
-Arrange transport for stock collections from suppliers
-Ensure customer orders are delivered on customer due dates. Liaise with transport re delivery dates
-Arrange deliveries using alternate hauliers
-Seek most cost effective transport by obtaining quotes from alternative carriers

Traceability (sample audit)

-Monthly, check a sample of Purchase orders to ensure BBE dates have been maintained in Sage

Licence applications

-Administration of new licences

-Logistics or supply chain experience
-Customer facing experience
-Proven administration experience
-Customer focused
-Experience using Sageline 50 essential
-Excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills both verbally and written
-Effective interpersonal skills, team player, personable
-Problem solving, initiative and organised
-Attention to detail
-Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
-Good knowledge of Microsoft package essential
-Immediately available

Hours of work 37.5 (Monday to Friday)
Car parking is available
