Are you looking to work for a successful legal firm based in the heart of the City of London? If so I have the perfect job for you. 

 Supervise the two cashiers and managing their workloads to ensure they are working
 Perform bank reconciliations on the office and client accounts and prepare the monthly bank reconciliation file for review by the FD.  
 Deal with and process any more complex transactions (e.g. foreign currency)
 Manage all the bank accounts in the name of the firm.
 Maintain and manage the intervention bank accounts.
 Maintain and manage all the firm’s standing orders and direct debits.
 Maintain and manage the firm’s internet banking systems and mandate processes ensuring all relevant partners have access to review and release payments. including
 Ensure that all client and office bank accounts and cashbooks are accurate and up to date.
 Help the FD to ensure the firm complies with the SRA Accounts Rules and ensuring all fee earners are up to date with the SRA requirements. In particular maintaining and managing residual balance records and ensuring they are dealt with promptly Maintain and manage client to office transfers to ensure monies held in client account to meet the firm’s fees are processed in a timely manner in accordance with SRA Accounts
 Be the prime contact for the annual SRA accounts rules review by the firm’s Auditors.
 Manage the staff expense payment system.
 Maintain the firm’ breeches register and meet monthly with the COFA.
 Maintain the day to day relationship with the bank’s relationship managers and wider team
 Utilise the firm's Partner 4 Window electronic accounting systems to its fullest where it relates to the cashier function. 
 Advise and take responsibility for process improvements.
 Maintain the firm’s accounts systems and processes on the firm’s intranet.
 Assist the Finance Director/COFA as necessary with projects.

- Minimum of 3 A-C grades at A LEVEL.
At least five year's experience as a cashier and two years in a senior or supervisory position in the cashier function.  
- Excellent knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules.
- Excellent Excel skills as well as good all round Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience of Accounts software. 
Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload, to have a flexible approach to ensure all deadlines are met.
Must be able to work as part of a team and possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal
You will be a reliable and trustworthy person and possess a willingness to learn whilst maintaining an exceptional eye for detail.
Ability to work without supervison, engage with the work you are undertaking and show initiative in relation to the work you are doing.
You will be flexible in approach and attitude to work and meeting of deadlines.
A high attention to details to produce work/ documentation which is consistently of a high standard.
- You will be a polished and professional individual who is confident in dealing with partners and other members of the senior mangement team and external advisors.
 - Desire to excel within an Accounts environment.
Keen to learn more about the expectation and deliverables of an expert in an Accounts function.
Enthusiasm to contribute ideas in order to improve the cashiering function and the overall Accounts function.
Desirable requirements
- 2:1 degree or equivalent.
- AAT or higher.
- Managed relationships with banks and assisted COFA with their responsibilities. - Knowledge of Partner 4 Windows.
