Our client is a specialist chemical company, which has gained a first class reputation globally, for the work they carry out within their particular field. They are a growing organisation and due to an ever increasing client base, they now have an opportunity for a Lead Analytical Chemist to join their close knit team.

Reporting directly to the project manager you will be responsible for developing, planning and implementing test methods and specifications. This will involve using internal and external laboratories to complete analytical work required to seek approval of products. You will also be expected to prepare protocols for method validation, and stability studies. As the lead, you will be required to make sure that all results are reported to the correct personnel, providing leadership and advice in analytical techniques.

This position comes with a competitive salary of up to £40,000 / annum.

To apply for this role, you will need; a BSc in an analytical science or organic chemistry, with demonstrable experience within a GMP setting. You must have previous relevant analytical experience in Fine chemical or Pharmaceutical markets, with expert knowledge in method development, validation and transfer of analytical methods. A strong industrial background in analytical chemistry is essential for this role. A PhD in the aforementioned sciences would be exceptionally beneficial, as well as competent compliance knowledge surrounding new drug submissions. Experience as a team leader would also be very advantageous. In this role you will need to liaise with multiple parts of the business, as well as your team, and so good communication and social skills are required.
