A really exciting opportunity has arisen for a Land Manager to join a well established company in Cornwall. 




OBJECTIVES OF THE POST

Working with the Head of Development, to develop and implement the Group’s strategy for residential development in line with the business plan in terms of turnover, profitability and programme requirement.

To be an active participant in the management of Development Department.

Identify and secure land opportunities in line with the Company business plan and Group requirements.

Determine demand and formulate proposals for product type, and mix for each site.

Gather data on anticipated sales values and development costs.

Appoint and manage external consultants to inform feasibility.

Appraise land for all tenures to ensure financial and commercial viability in order to meet the Group’s objectives. To include completing appraisal options and present them to the Project Approval Group.

ESSENTIAL

Educated to A level or equivalent level 3 qualification

Knowledge and experience of significant parts of the development process from acquisition through to sales

Knowledge and experience of generating new business and customer relationship management

A proven track record of successful land acquisitions and completed developments


DESIRABLE

Degree or equivalent level 6 qualification

An appropriate qualification in a planning, construction or development related discipline

RICS or equivalent professional qualification

CSCS Card holder

Detailed knowledge & experience of whole residential development process including strategy development; land acquisition; financial appraisal & funding; product mix design; sales and marketing

Network of professional contacts in Devon & Cornwall

Good knowledge of central and local government housing strategies & policies etc.

Good understanding of new build construction process
