This is a 6 month contact to start immediately.
Maintain all computer-related systems and services that allows the college to operate and communicate, both internally and externally, for academic and business support purposes.
Manage a customer-focused service whereby day-to-day IT systems issues and faults are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner.
To liaise with users and the IT Technical Support Manager in order to meet development and maintenance requests. Carry out installation and maintenance on the College’s end-user IT systems, and help to ensure their smooth and efficient running.
To improve lives through, education, training, skills and development, fostering social and economic success, in line with the College’s overall mission.
Operation of the Help Desk to ensure consistent high quality customer service and timely resolution within an ITIL framework.
Provide first line technical support on hardware and software to all users across all college sites.
Processing, documenting, investigating and resolving technical issues.
Undertake preventative maintenance, fault-finding and repair of IT equipment including networked and standalone computer hardware, printers and audio-visual resources.
Installing and upgrading computer hardware, software and audio-visual resources.
Ensuring hardware and software security of computer systems.
Documenting and maintaining inventory, warranty and repair records for all computer related equipment and stocks.
