IT Support / Technical Support / 1st Line support candidate required for an exciting business in Surrey. You will be offered full training and development, you will work within a large IT team who's focus is to deliver IT support to internal users.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year IT support experience

Purpose of the role:
Providing 1st and 2nd line support to a fast paced and technically challenging environment. The IT support Engineer will be an integral member of the IT Infrastructure team and will have the opportunity to maintain and expand on a number of systems.

Key responsibilities:
• Assisting on-site cross department IT support needs such as detecting software/hardware problems, liaising with third party suppliers, diagnosing and resolving problems to the user’s satisfaction.
• Liaise with and escalate the issues to the senior IT/Desktop engineers for supporting, installation of new hardware and software.
• Provide support to all IT projects and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver large projects.
• The candidate will be involved in supporting company users across most of the services, daily upkeep of the IT support tasks, monitoring basic services, system checks and scheduled/planned work.
• To work alongside other departments to provide support and guidance which may include assisting with general company operations and as directed by the line manager.

Skills and attributes required
• The successful candidate will have at least 1 year experience in IT support
• Ability to communicate with the senior IT engineers
• Natural interest in IT with a desire to stay abreast of new technologies and the ability to understand clients technical requirements when described by clients who are using everyday language.
• Active Directory knowledge
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively and cope within a pressured environment.
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate with clients & staff at a professional level
