Salary: £30,900 plus car allowance

The Company:
Our client are a large housing association with over 4000 properties to their name. Based in Southend-On-Sea, they work very successfully with every district in Essex, along with some in the surrounding counties. With recent investment in their IT services, they are currently expanding this department and looking for a new professional to join their talented team.

The Role:
As part of their ICT Transformation Programme, the IT Service Desk will be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all IT issues and requests. The Service Desk Analyst is a highly skilled technical support resource providing 1st and 2nd line IT support and advice to colleagues across the organisation. Owning, managing and dealing with Incidents and Requests throughout their lifecycle (including managing tickets with our Managed Service Provider) and having an excellent customer service mind-set. Supporting a varied ICT estate ensuring end-users have a seamless support experience. Using a mix of technologies including Windows 10, Office 365, Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp, CRM, QLx.

Main Duties:
1. The IT Service Desk Analyst will provide 1st and 2nd line ICT support (Incident and Requests) to our colleagues via telephone, email, self-service or face to face, ensuring that they deliver a high level of service at all times, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and colleagues are kept fully informed of progress.
2. Supporting Windows 10 desktop and Office 365 as well as Installation and configuration of Desktop applications
3. Remote and Deskside support (including travel to our sites across Essex) including office moves.
4. Understanding and supporting our business services and applications
5. Working with Project Managers and Project teams to implement new initiatives and working on projects.



Key Requirements:
1. Good understanding of Office 2010, Office 2016 and Office 365 (any exposure to Office 365 migrations a benefit)
2. Good technical understanding of Windows 10 desktops and Windows Server (2008, 2016)
3. Good understanding of Network concepts (wired and wireless) - TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routers, switches etc
4. Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop exposure – ideally including some element of Application Packaging and deployment via Citrix
5. Familiarity with Housing sector a benefit but not essential
6. Good ITIL understanding – especially Incident, Problem and Change Management
7. Good communication skills and ability to form good working relationships at all levels
8. Good as part of a team as well as working under own initiative
