Our client is looking for an on-site IT Engineer, based in Braford. The role is largely analysis of data to investigate incidents and defects to administer their resolution.

Key skills:
• Good all round linux knowledge
• Relational Database and excellent SQL skills
• Programming experience desirable but not essential
• Quick learner as there is bespoke software
• Customer facing is a must

Job Role:
Technical account management and support of software and hardware for products installed on the customers premises.

Main Purpose:
Maintenance of software functionality of a warehouse
Resolve issues in software engineering area.
Independent monitoring of the system software and hardware
To identify an resolve critical issues

Technical qualification:
Competent knowledge of software applications
Technical knowledge in Linux operating system, Win XXX
Technical knowledge in Oracle database, PL/SQL, Java
Technical knowledge about hardware-, serve- and workstations- construction
Technical knowledge in network technologies
Several years’ experience in commissioning
Capacity for teamwork, to work independently
Basic knowledge in programmer languages

On-site technician to cover support engineering tasks during production time means:
• Single point of contact for the customer in any software related warehouse issues and questions
• Attendance and assistance of the monthly service calls/meetings
• Improvement of hotline solution process during on-site intervention and assistance
• Assistance of the customer in software change process (test of changes, administering the system)
• Local supervision of the system
