REED Engineering's client, a leading provider of business communications IT and testing services are looking for an IT Engineer to their team. This position has been created due to new contract wins and therefore, expansion.

Reporting to the IT Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to join a company during a period of growth. On top of the annual salary, there is also a company car and overtime payable.

As well as seeking a certain skillset and experience, we require an Engineer who also has the right mindset. Candidates must be willing to be 'hands-on' at all levels. A good degree of responsibility is available to the successful candidate.

Due to the urgency of the new contract wins, candidates would ideally be available immediately. However, our client is willing to wait a four week notice period if necessary.

As an IT Engineer, you will provide key first level and second level support to customers, and offer more general project support. Other duties of the role will include, but not be limited to -

General Windows and Mac Desktop support with remote access using MSP Anywhere Control Suite
Support, access and maintenance of Windows Servers
Maintenance of multiple Microsoft Office 365 administrative consoles, including work on Exchange, Sharepoint and Office online.
Support for hosted telephony solutions
Support for Asterik, Panasonic Hybrid and Analogue phone systems
Support for telecomms connectivity including Analogue lines, ADSL, VDSL, Leased Line, EFM, Satellite, Mobile and Wireless ISP.
Offer support for routing and network technologies from Netgear, Draytek and Ubiquiti Wireless base

We are looking for candidates with the following -

Drivers Licence (Essential)
A proved track record in providing technical solutions and good customer service - face to face, on the phone, via e-mail or on-screen chat
HNC/HND Level IT Qualification or Microsoft Certification in multiple disciplines
Excellent communication technique and customer service skills
A good problem solving attitude

Candidates with experience in any of the following will be at a distinct advantage -

Fixed line telecomms and internet
Desktop/Helpdesk support experience
Windows server experience
Networks and Routing experience
Wireless networking experience
Microsoft Office 365 as a business service experience
Telecommunication systems experience
