Reed Education are currently working with an ‘Outstanding’ school to find them passionate and enthusiastic KS2 teacher’s for their Year 6 class. This school is part of an Academy that is located just outside of Central Norwich.
Starting from January 2018, the school are looking for outstanding teacher’s to join them on a short term supply basis until May to prepare the children for their SATs.

The School:

• The school is a happy calm and exciting place to learn, where the children will continue to make the school proud of their responsible, positive and caring attitudes.
• Their recent Ofsted Report (May 2016) reported that this is an ‘Outstanding’ school, and where children make accelerated progress.
• They have high expectations of themselves and the children in relation to behaviour, academic and creative progress and aim to offer the children a high quality, innovative and creative learning experience, delivered through excellent teaching and up to date technology.

The Role:

• This will be teaching 2 children at a time from their year 6 class of 30 children outside of a classroom setting
• You will be supporting the children with a 1 hour of Maths lesson followed by 1 hour of English before they return back to class. You will then have 2 different children to perform the same
• You will be expected to perform the full role of a full time/permanent teacher; so will be required to plan and mark the work, assessments, report writing, attend staff & parent meetings

What you will need:

• You will need to have a recognised teaching qualification, hold QTS and have an enhanced child workforce DBS
• It is preferred that you have Key Stage 2 teaching experience, ideally in Year 6 but experience of working in KS3 would be considered
• The school is looking for a creative, inspiring teacher that can give the children the best possible start to their learning before they step up in to secondary school
• You will need to be committed, enthusiastic about teaching year 6 aged children and a good leader
