We are recruiting for a very reputable and long running Industrial Supplies company in Dublin West. We are searching for an Internal Sales Manager with drive and energy to develop the existing team of 6 along with the management of customer accounts. You will be in close liaison with Field Sales, Purchasing and the Warehouse Manager to ensure all sales activity runs smoothly.
*Experience with Excel: V Look Ups, Pivot Tables and Formulas, will be advantageous as you will be able to produce reports to help the sales function. (You don't have to be at an advanced level)
*Competitive basic + Annual Bonus which includes Pension and Life Assurance. Working hours: 8.30 am - 5.00 pm
Duties in the role:
Continually drive day-to-day productivity within the department, developing, coaching and motivating the team to meet the business objectives.
Ensuring that the department can adequately deliver an efficient service to internal and external customers
Completing regular coaching with direct reports to promote team development and engagement.
Working with the wider Operations & External Sales Teams to establish and maintain effective
& efficient processes
Actively participate and contribute to monthly management meetings
Actively promoting and managing the process of continuous improvement to enhance workflow optimisation.
Analysing statistics and other data to determine the level of performance the team provides.
Ensuring the internal team are guided, coached and developed to provide adequate support and service to all external team members and customers on pricing queries.
Ensuring that all sales proposals are costed accurately, maintaining required margins, and that all commitments to customers are delivered timely.
Reviewing pricing to ensure consistent, competitive and profitable pricing.
Authorise communication such as holiday requests, appointments, return to work process and informal corrective procedures
Engage with suppliers who are key to the programme at all levels up to and executive, to enhance revenue and market penetration for both company and suppliers
Take lead governance of all discounting to ensure best practice is adhered to and margins are in line with KPIs
Performing cost and bench-marking analysis and suggesting methods to decrease expenditure in line with our strategy for Reducing Costs.
Ensuring customers are kept up to date with delivery dates for non-standard items.
Dealing directly with customers via telephony or face to face visits as and when necessary.
Experience and Knowledge:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience of effective leadership of a team, preferably within a sales support or customer service function.
Acute commercial awareness and business acumen in relation to sales margin and profit.
