Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire are pleased to be partnering with a well-respected organisation who are looking for a Payroll Manager on a 2 year fixed term contract from November to assist them during a period of extensive change inclusive of a new ERP system implementation. With a good team environment and a clear, organised structure this represents an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to solidify their existing knowledge over the years ahead.


As the Manager of the Payroll Team of 12, your key duties will include:

• Take responsibility and accountability for all payroll matters for over 7,000 staff and over 4,000 pensioners;
• Manage the payroll section, ensuring workflow is maintained and all deadlines are met;
• Authorise all the procedural changes relating to the payment of salaries, expenses and other staff emoluments;
• Management of the payroll supervisors;
• Manage the levels and quality of service provided by the payroll contractors and pension’s administrators;
• Knowledge of statutory requirements in respect of Income Tax, National Insurance and all statutory Family Pay etc.



The ideal candidate will have proven and extensive managerial experience, payroll project experience and payroll legislation knowledge. It would be beneficial to have extensive IPPM experience or to have achieved a similar payroll qualification. Experience of implementing an ERP system would also be extremely desirable.
