Our Children’s Services have embarked on an ambitious and challenging Improvement Plan to transform that vision into reality. As part of that plan we are seeking to appoint an interim Group Manager to Children’s Fieldwork, to provide operational and strategic leadership and support leadership colleagues on our improvement journey.

The post-holder will lead staff and managers in our First Contact/Duty, Children with Disabilities and Care Management teams, providing guidance and motivation to staff and being responsible for a portion of the Children’s Service budget. The post-holder will, through their leadership ensure all statutory requirements for Children’s Fieldwork are met.

The post-holder will have an appropriate Social Work qualification, detailed knowledge of child protection requirements and extensive management experience, along with experience of dealing with local authority members on relevant issues and will promote best practice in multi-professional working.
